Every fight's build has the same Beast Mastery points, and only two Marksmanship points move between them, so the reasons below hold on all six fights.

Why these talents

Careful Aim turns your Intellect into attack power, all of it at 5/5, ranged and melee alike. With this set's 220 Intellect that is the same amount of ranged attack power again, and the talent is worth 5.5 %. It is also why Intellect shows up in your stat weights.

Mortal Shots raises the critical strike damage bonus of your ranged attacks by 30 %, so a critical Auto Shot, Arcane Shot, Multi-Shot or Serpent Sting tick deals 2.3 times its damage instead of twice. It is worth 5.3 %, and Careful Aim is its prerequisite.

Deadly Aspects gives each Auto Shot a 10 % chance, while Aspect of the Hawk is up, to start Quick Shots: 30 % faster shooting for 12 seconds. You shoot under Quick Shots for 57.1 % of a fight, which makes the talent worth 6.4 %. The faster Auto Shots it brings are also more chances to start it again.

Lethal Attacks is a flat 5 % crit with every attack, worth 4.2 %. Serpent Sting's ticks can crit in Forever, so the crit reaches all of your damage, and Mortal Shots makes every one of those crits bigger.

Improved Stings adds 20 % to Serpent Sting, worth 2.8 % on a three-minute single-boss fight. With the sting on three bosses it climbs to 5.4 %.

The pet talents. Ferocity (10 % pet crit), Unleashed Fury (15 % pet damage), Frenzy (30 % pet attack speed for 8 seconds after a pet crit) and Focused Fire (2 % more damage for you and the cat) each come in below the five above. The largest, Ferocity, is worth 2.5 %. The cat is a modest share of your damage and, in our simulator, takes nothing from your gear, so a percentage of its damage stays small. Bestial Wrath is the same story: 50 % more pet damage for 18 seconds every two minutes comes to 1.8 %.

Bestial Discipline speeds the cat's Focus by 20 % and keeps half of your mana regeneration going while you cast. Its worth follows your mana: 1.8 % on a three-minute single-boss fight, 5.2 % on a three-minute fight against three bosses, where you run dry.

Summon Hawk sends a hawk to dive-bomb the boss for 108 plus 5 % of your ranged attack power, and the hawk stays to attack for 18 seconds. It shares Arcane Shot's cooldown, so on one boss you never cast it and the point only fills its row. Against three bosses the rotation casts it in Arcane Shot's place, and it is worth 5.2 %.

Flexible points

  • Two Marksmanship points before Mortal Shots. You need 15 Marksmanship points before Mortal Shots' row opens, and Lethal Attacks, Improved Stings and Careful Aim make 13. The other two go to Efficiency (shots and stings 6 % cheaper) or to Hawk Eye and Rapid Killing. Hawk Eye only adds range, and Rapid Killing's minute off Rapid Fire doesn't fit a second cast into three minutes. On one boss the choice is level. Against three bosses for three minutes Efficiency is worth 2.8 %, so take Efficiency.
  • Endurance Training. Three points to open the rows below. It only adds pet health, and Improved Aspect of the Monkey, Pathfinding and Improved Revive Pet do no more in a boss fight, so these three can go to any of them.
  • Bestial Swiftness and Intimidation. They are the path to Bestial Wrath. Intimidation's crit for the cat's next attack costs a global cooldown and 8 % of your base mana, so the rotation never presses it.

What each talent is worth

Each row is the build simulated again with that one talent's points left unspent. The talents lean on each other, so the rows overlap and their sum means nothing. When you move one loose point, compare the last-point column instead.
