Client 1.60.1.70338: the spell and item tables of 70291 and 70334
The simulator's game data rebuilt from the client's own tables (1.60.1.70338, which carries 70291's and 70334's changes, with the hotfixes of 10 October); every build keeps its setup unless the new tables touch it. Penance's cut moves Smite and the Discipline priests, the Wolfshead Helm moves the feral cat, Thorns moves the tanks a little. The builds the tables touch, the hunters (a simulator fix) and the builds that wore another class's dungeon set 2 piece (a rule fix) were re-optimised and are marked.
Game patch 11 Oct 2026 · 1 boss · 1 min
Only the game changed: every build kept its gear, talents and rotation, so each move is the patch’s. Builds the patch gave new options were re-optimised for it, and are marked.
What changed
Simulator c693eef → a04268c
- GamePriest: Penance hits and heals for much less (rank 4's bolt 131 to 92, at 19% of spell power, was 28.5%), so rank 4 is now its strongest bolt and Smite casts it; at the same setups Smite's damage falls 8 to 10% and Discipline's healing 6 to 11%.Blizzard: WoW Forever beta development notes (8 October)Client build 1.60.1.70291: what changed in the tables
- GameDruid: Thorns is back to Vanilla's 18 damage at rank 6 (was 22), the Wolfshead Helm gives 5 energy on Shifting Power (was 20: the feral cat 5 to 6% down at the same setup), and Predatory Instincts is now Natural Instinct, which also turns part of the druid's Intellect into healing.Blizzard: WoW Forever beta development notes (8 October)Client build 1.60.1.70291: what changed in the tables
- GameWarrior and druid tanks: Demoralizing Shout and Demoralizing Roar now generate threat; Impale needs Deep Wounds; Last Stand's buff is restated (the same 30% of maximum health). With Thorns, every tank's threat moves 0.1 to 0.3% at the same setup; Survival does not move.Blizzard: WoW Forever beta development notes (8 October)Client build 1.60.1.70291: what changed in the tables
- GamePaladin: Reckoning has a 1.5-second cooldown, and Retribution Aura's ranks now state Vanilla's damage themselves (as the update of 10 October already modelled). Hunter: Expose Prey lasts 10 seconds (was 5), so Survival's Mongoose Bite stays up longer (+0.6 to 0.8%). Shaman: Water Shield has no cooldown and Mana Tide Totem is learned at level 25.Blizzard: WoW Forever beta development notes (8 October)Client build 1.60.1.70291: what changed in the tables
- GameLow ranks of Fireball, Frostbolt, Arcane Missiles, Wrath, Lightning Bolt, Shadow Bolt, Smite, Lesser Heal and Heal were rebalanced. Of those, the benchmark casts only Lightning Bolt rank 4 (Elemental and Stormcaller, up to 0.2%) and the Holy priests' lower Heal ranks (down up to 0.9%).Blizzard: WoW Forever beta development notes (8 October)wago.tools: 70245 to 70291
- GameItems: 32 new Forever items now have item data. 26 join the pool (item level 31 to 36: world drops in Alterac Mountains, among them Spine of the Devourer, Archmagister's Faceted Pendant and the Violet Sorcerer's Robes and Mantle, and two quest rewards); the other six have no source on Wowhead yet. Tried in every build's saved set on every fight, only the Wand of Mana Concentration beat a slot (Discipline's wand on two PvP-set fights), and not once Discipline was searched again for Penance: no benchmark set wears a new item. Cursed Murloc Eye's proc hits for less. Forever's three Spiritcaller sets (shaman) and Battlegear and Battleplate of Glory (warrior) are now class-locked; no build wore a piece. Client builds 70334 and 70338 added nothing a benchmark set uses.Client build 1.60.1.70334Client build 1.60.1.70338
- SimHow it was measured: the before is this update's fixed simulator on the old tables, with every build's saved setup. The simulator's own fixes of this update (Hunter's Mark, which a hunter now casts itself at every rank, and Mongoose Bite, which the hunter's own mark opens through Expose Prey) are in both sides, so their moves are not counted as the patch's. One rule fix is not: dungeon set 2 (the tier 0.5 sets) now goes only to its own class, since each class's pieces are rewards of its own quests and bind on pickup, so the builds that wore another class's piece were searched again without it; their rows are marked, and that part of their move is the simulator's. Item class restrictions were checked against the client's tables: no saved setup wears an item its class may not.
