Client 1.60.1.70450 and measured mechanics: resists, Spirit, threat, pets and trainer ranks
The simulator's game data moves to the beta client 1.60.1.70450 with Blizzard's hotfixes to 18 October, Champion of the Light's larger share of Intellect among them. The engine takes the mechanics wowsims/forever measured in game where the evidence holds: spells resist only by resistance, Spirit regenerates by the client's formula, warrior threat and hunter pets follow the beta's readings. The pre-raid fights cast only trainer ranks. Every build was re-optimised on it, two new builds among them, so a move here is the update, the simulator and the new search together; every row is marked.

The game data and our simulator both changed: a move can come from either, so it is not on its own a Blizzard buff or nerf. The notes say what each side changed.
What changed
Simulator 4126d1c → e0085e8
- GamePaladin: Champion of the Light gives 20, 40 and 60% of Intellect as spell damage (the 15 October notes said 10, 20 and 30%), a hotfix in the client's data. Retribution and Shockadin gain about 3.5% at the same setups.Blizzard: WoW Forever beta development notes (15 October)wago.tools: 70425 to 70450
- GameClient 1.60.1.70450 and its hotfixes to 18 October also change Amplify Curse and Bane of Agony's rows, Blood Craze's heal (no threat), Dark Inspiration's buff, Holy Fire rank 1, a few low-level items (Whitemane's Chapeau, Stonerender Gauntlets) and add Combat Tuning Wrench and Ankle Slicers. None of these moves a benchmark setup.wago.tools: 70425 to 70450
- SimSpells: no partial resists from the boss's level, only from resistance, in 10% steps (wowsims/forever's logs: 94 of 94 Shadow Bolts whole against a target two levels up), and Spell Piercing past zero adds damage, so Arcane Subtlety now pays. Casters gain 1.4 to 6.4% at the same setups.wowsims/forever #350: drop level-based resistancewowsims/forever #76: resistance in 10% steps
- SimSpirit: every mana class regenerates 6.25 + Spirit ÷ 8 mana a second outside the five-second rule, as the client's tooltip reads, credited every tenth of a second. Restoration druids gain about 4%, Restoration shamans 2% and Holy paladins 1% at the same setups.
- SimTrainer ranks only: before the raids open no build casts a rank a Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj class book teaches, and the raid's Battle Shout (115 attack power), Strength of Earth and Grace of Air are trainer ranks too. Aspect of the Hawk is rank 5, since Forever's rank 6 gives less. At the same setups Holy paladins heal about 12% less (Holy Light rank 8), Arcane and Frost lose 5 to 6%, Protection warriors about 5% threat, hunters 2 to 4% and Restoration druids 3 to 4%.
- SimWarriors: threat follows the beta's readings (Revenge 2.25 times its damage, Sunder Armor plus 5% of attack power, Heroic Strike and Cleave by spell level, rage threat by stance): Protection warriors +23 to +29% at the same setups. Bloodthrill procs only from white swings, Heroic Strike and Cleave (Arms −4.6%), Improved Slam cuts 1.5 seconds a rank, and rage drains 1.25 a second before the pull.wowsims/forever #385: Revenge threat 2.25x, Cleave and rage threat splitwowsims/forever #534: Bloodthrill procs
- SimHunters: pets swing for the game's level-60 creature damage (Beast Mastery +10%, Marksmanship with a cat +6% at the same setups, so the cat beats Lone Wolf on one boss), Immolation Trap scales with 13.2% of attack power, the hawk swings at ranged speed and base ranged attack power is 2 × level − 10.wowsims/forever #509: pet base values
- SimPaladins: the weapon specializations raise seals, judgements and Holy Strike (Retribution +3.2%, Protection +4.4% threat at the same setups), Seal of Righteousness takes 10% of spell power with a one-hander, Judgement of the Crusader's bonus lands after damage talents, Vindication procs 5 times a minute and rolls to hit, and the debuff judgements roll weapon procs.wowsims/forever #135: weapon specializations on Holy spellswowsims/forever #473: Seal of Righteousness one-hander
- SimCasters and healers: healer priests no longer summon Shadowfiend, which only a Season of Discovery rune teaches (6 to 8% less healing at the same setups); Inner Focus holds through a channel; the Succubus's weapon and attack power come from its pet sheet and demons crit at the warlock's spell crit (Demonology and Affliction −2%); Fingers of Frost with Frostbite grants at the cast.wowsims/forever #545: demon mana regen
- SimRogues, shamans and bears: Premeditation works outside Stealth, Cold Blood is spent only by a Mutilate that lands and Deadly Poison is rank IV; Stormstrike is normalised; enchant armor such as the Lesser Arcanum of Tenacity is no longer multiplied by Dire Bear Form (the Mitigation and Balanced bears take 5% more damage). Any spell with a cast time holds the swing (Protection paladins −1.4% threat).
- SimItems and consumables: on-use items work (Weakness Analyzer, Thunderbrew's Boot Flask), caster weapons follow the client's formula (Elemental Mage Staff 109–164), new set bonuses count (Sorcerer's Regalia, the Premier Felweave and Premier Silken 2-piece) and the Revelation enchant is in the pool. The Elemental Sharpening Stone is out, since its plans drop only in Molten Core (Fury −1 to −3%); Elixir of Nature Power and Major Frenzy Potion, sold as Merchant's Favor recipes, are in.
- SimHow it was measured: the simulator was compared with wowsims/forever mechanic by mechanic. It took the measured mechanics and kept its own where its evidence is better (weapon proc rates from beta logs, Hunter's Mark rank 3, Ice Lance, Talisman of Ascendance). Maul's threat, Missile Barrage from Arcane Missiles, Holy Strike's spell power and Shield Slam's threat are unchanged until tested. Every build was re-optimised on the result, with new options in the search: MythicSim's Survival weave and a Destruction build with its Succubus out (both new builds), hybrid talent seeds (a Holy/Ret paladin is now the paladins' best threat tank on the two- and three-minute one-boss fights), wowsims's bear talents and the Merchant's Favor consumables.wowsims/forever
